Sometimes you just can’t win. When we were invited by the Precision Aging Network to help launch an ambitious four-phase public health program (to improve our “cognitive healthspan”), we were beyond thrilled. And when the client told us the time allotted (we had four days), this drove us to develop one of our best presentations ever. Our proposal incorporated all of the client’s requirements: scientific authority, diverse populations, genetic underpinnings, and (yes) rainbow colors. But when the client’s board opted to use a crowd-sourced solution — beyond the weeping and questioning the validity of my career as a designer — I happily can share this great design solution that sadly will never reach its potential.

My undying thanks to the Precision Aging Network’s principal investigator Carol Barnes for recommending us for this project. Partner, Danny Pagano realized this brilliant design with creative support from Katie Ylinen and myself.
